Unique and innovative MP3 players

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Almost everyday technology-lovers get to witness a new innovation. It’s either the mobile industry or the software industry or the MP3 player industry that comes up with something new.

For instance, one of the innovations that will add to the user experience is in the form of Bluetooth in MP3 players. The same has cancelled out the requirement of long-corded earphones to plug in. People can listen to the songs from anywhere in the house even if they’re sitting in one room and have kept their device in another room.

Adding on to the list of ever-increasing new innovations, Greg Bertrand’s Arduino controlled MP3 is the latest! This MP3 player, which is bulky in size, can change its volume on basis of its distance from the listener. Plus, it also changes other parameters using its built-in sensors.

Watch out for this space to know about more unique and innovative MP3 players…

Good news for gamers who plan to buy Xbox 360

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Here’s a great piece of news for people who remain glued to the computer screens for a considerable amount of time, enjoying their gaming sessions. One of the most popular and desired gaming consoles, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is now going to be made available at cheaper rates in the UK.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 - the 20 GB hard drive model - will be now made available at 270 euros, from the third week of March. Plus, the entry level machine, which does not come with any hard drive, will be made available at £159.99 - £40 less than the current price.

This price drop has made the Xbox cheaper than its chief competitors - the Nintendo Wii and Sony’s PlayStation 3 (PS3). Although the Xbox was launched before its rival gaming counterparts, it was said to be losing ground because of the cost factor. The company confirmed the new price of the entry level machines had been worked out, keeping in mind the fact that it’s one of the key elements, greatly influencing the decision of buying a gaming console.

iPods for the Music Lovers

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Even if you don’t own one of those tiny rectangular boxes with a screen and a circular dial on the front, you must have at least seen one. Millions of music lovers on the planet spend time blissfully enjoying their favourite sounds using this wonderful new technology product.

Walkman was a wonder gift to the music lovers much before iPods appeared on the scene but the iPod made this wonder gift seem like a toy in comparison.

What makes iPods score much higher in user ratings than a Walkman? iPods allow for the storage of vast quantities of music. 30 gigabyte pod can hold a whopping 7,500 number of songs. iPods can be used with headphones, making it like a mini high-tech Walkman. They can also be connected to larger speakers, allowing the box to function like a tiny stereo.

Many brilliant pod-related gadgets, such as the JBL On Stage speaker system (seven-inch wide circular device) are also available as accessories for louder sound. For the budget-minded podster a diminutive Shuffle, which can fit in the palm of the hand is also available. It can hold up to 240 songs. iPod Mini, can hold about 1,000 plus songs.

A favourite iPod gadget is the iTrip, a small cylindrical thing that plugs into the top of the iPod and allows you to play wireless music through the car stereo. Music can also be loaded from CD collection via a computer, and can be organized into blocks, such as “Mum’s Music” or “Dad’s Music” or” Kids Toonz.” Etc. Isn’t it wonderful?

A music lover would surely like to be the proud owner of this new technological invention.
