Remote control for your iPod to be introduced
If you’re tired of having to plug your iPod into your computer or Mac in order to sync your music, you’ll be pleased to know that the Apple are looking at introducing a Wi-Fi system for the iPod Touch and the iPhone that will allow you to access iTunes.
The evidence for this idea from Apple came in the Read Me file that came with iTunes 7.7 beta. It stated:
Use iTunes 7.7 to sync music, video, and more with iPhone 3G, and download applications from the iTunes Store exclusively designed for iPhone and iPod touch with software version 2.0 or later. Also use the new Remote application for iPhone or iPod touch to control iTunes playback from anywhere in your home- a free download from the App Store.
Also Apple filed a patent way back in 2005 that talked about a portable media player (naturally the iPod) using wireless technology to access and control a media centre (iTunes).
According to Apple, the new iTunes version 7.7 will be needed by users in order to use the iPhone 2.0.
